Hi Everyone,

We spent a rather lovely evening and day at Kew gardens last November taking in the Chihuly installations there. Very busy but well worth the effort (and the rather horrid weather first thing in the evening). Here's a starter selection from what we saw:

1. Red Reeds

2. Ikebana

3. Turquoise Marlin

4. Chartreuse Hornet Chandelier

5. Chartreuse Hornet Chandelier Detail

6. Beluga Boat

7. Opal and Amber Tower

8. Kew Ablaze

9. Cat Tails and Copper Birch Reeds

10. Cat Tails and Copper Birch Reeds - Encircling

11. Scarlet and Yellow Icicle Tower

12. Paintbrushes and Urn

All for the moment but a lot more variation and colour to come. Thanks for looking and comments clearly welcomed.

Best regards, Neil.

Nice series, must have been a good spectacle walking around there at night.
#1 is a nice abstract with the sharp and oof red lines. I would only clone or crop out the little bright spots at the left edge (at 1/3 and 2/3 from the top). But the winner for me is #3, works very well with the oof plant in the background. #5 is a close second.

Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

We've seen some more of Chihuly here on Dyxum, but these night shots give a different view on it, which I like. For me #5 is the winner. TFS Neil.

A very interesting set!   I'll have to put Kew Gardens "on my list" :-)

I rather like the simplicity of composition in 7 and 11

In #8 and #9 it almost looks like the grass in on fire! Quite an effect. TFS Neil .

Thanks all for the comments - quite a bit more to come from both the evening's visit and the day afterwards (when it was much nicer weather!).

Best regards, Neil.
