for anyone contemplating visiting the West this year______(there is no bad time to visit Yosemite)!

Thanks Joseph, forgot to mention I like your Yosemity shot a lot too, bold colours do the rugged landscape justice. Haven't been there since 1982, it's about time I go back one day.

Thanks for the kind words.
By saying I liked your photo a lot, the 1st thought that came to mind, I'm not sure why, was I would really like your photo, "A Cold Day in Lapland Last Week" for my computer wallpaper, at least for a while.

The thought I was trying to convey w the above Yosemite photo, that to me it looks spectacular even when there is no water. So just come back, today or tomorrow would be good. We are having our "government shutdown" ritual and the park isn't staffed but its open (No Fee) There is no one to tell you where you can go or can't go, nor are there any amenities. Right now there is a pretty heavy snow storm up there. I've been there w a blanket of fresh snow and its fantastic. You'll be able to understand Ansel Adams a little better.

Like I said "There is No Bad Time to visit Yosemite"
