I love landscape shooting. With New Zealand's relatively short human history, and with very little left of ancient Maori artifacts, it's a real bonus that we have such fabulous scenery. That said, it often isn't walking distance and can be up to a couple of thousand kilometres from you.

Here's a few relatively recent images shot on my Sony or Minoltas:

1. A Wild Man Gestures: Turoa, Mt Ruapehu

Sony A7R, Laowa 60mm f2.8 2:1 Macro lens. 2500 iso. 160th sec. Laowa lenses do not have contacts to the camera so record no shooting data.

2. Winter Colours

Minolta Alpa 7. Minolta 16mm f2.8 Fisheye lens. Fujifilm Eterna RD-1 ultra slow copy film (1.5 iso)

3. Toi toi

Minolta Alpha 7. Minolta 100mm f2.8 Macro lens. exposure details not recorded. No flash.

4. Kingfisher

Sony A7R. Laowa 15mm f4 Shift/Macro lens. 400 iso. Laowa lenses do not have contacts to the camera so record no shooting data.

Thanks. I love that lens! It's quite unique: a 15mm that has shift and can shoot macro right up to the glass!

OK. With all my cameras and propensity to cycle them (I almost have a shooting spreadsheet), here's some landscapes from other formats but all on film.

These four were shot with my Fujica G690 rangefinder. As a 35mm shooter for so long (1970's to now), the 6x9 format is a no brainer. The immense extra detail and grainlessness compared to 35mm makes it a natural choice for landscape. FYI: I have 4 lenses with this camera: 50mm, 65mm, 100mm and 180mm

1. Mangawhai Heads, New Zealand

50mm f5.6 lens on Fujica G690

2. Punakaiki Sunset, New Zealand

100mm f3.5 lens on Fujica G690

3. Reheboth Area, Namib Desert, Namibia

65mm f5.6 lens on Fujica G690

4. The Warrior Stands Ready. Opononi Beach, New Zealand

50mm f5.6 lens on Fujica G690

One of my favourite cameras is my Widepan Pro II 140 swing lens medium format panorama. Here's a few quick finds that fit in this category:

1. My KTM690 on Kariotahi Beach
Widepan Pro II 140 using its 35mm insert for 24x110mm negs

2. Ruakaka Beach Sunrise

Widepan Pro II 140 6x12

3. Ruakaka Beach at Twilight

Widepan Pro II 140 6x12

4. Tutukaka Coast Sunset
