Having trouble locating the hood linked above. They don't seem to be available on eBay anymore. I have the white version of the 80-200mm. Any help appreciated.

This thread just popped up on dpreview. The Nikon af 80-200 f2.8 ed bayonet hood apparently fits with slight modification. Very cheap form China   .

I ordered one of those last night to see how it fits .
Got mine from a U.K dealer for £7 , rather than £1.50 and waiting for 6 weeks for it to turn up from China .
I do have the original , but I like the look of this one and it should give a bit more protection to the lens , and is more disposable .

What will tell though is if the OP on DPReview only used it on a APS-C camera or full frame .
Mine will be used on both , so we'll see .

I will report back here when it arrives .

Hey, did you ever get the lens hood? Did it fit, or what kind of modifications were necessary?

Beats me , that was two years ago . I've slept since then !

I'm still using the original Minolta hood , so likely as not I just didn't get around to fitting it and then forgot all about it .

So that hood could be anywhere now,and if I picked it up since I wouldn't have remembered what I got it for !
