Hello,

Can anyone advise if there's any remote triggers that work on the old iISO hotshoe (A77) that will allow me to adjust the power of the flashes remotely (& I'll assume I'll have to get corresponding brand flashes to allow this?)

Up to now I've used my old Minolta 4000AF (3x) and HVL-F42AM's (2x) for anything I've needed, but more recently it seems like a big hassle to go around adjusting flash powers on any/all of them one by one. I currently use the Aputure Trigmaster Plus Transceivers which I've found quite reasonably priced / good quality.

I would like HSS but I'm not sure any unit will allow this on the old iISO shoe? What are the options? I don't use multiple flashes very frequently, but it's nice to have the ability. Depending on price I might have to live with the hassle...

No longer in production, but the original (iISO) Phottix Odin and Pixel King (for Sony in both cases) did what you ask. You would need iISO-foot flashes to match, or use the Multi-interface to iISO converters. Your 42s should do the trick, but not the 4000s. The flashes are spoofed to operate as if on the camera shoe, so their wireless functionality is not required, but they must obey the pre-flash TTL protocols, so film-era flashes are not suitable.

Alternatively, you could use the current MI-shoe remote units with your 42s and the relevant converters, but the cost would be high.

Thanks Ian... having a look at the Odin / King units it seems like they're carrying inflated prices because they're discontinued.

Would something like the Godox X1T-S - £35.00 Transmitter with a Sony ADP-AMA Adapter - £25 but then I think I'd need new flash units (Was thinking a couple of strobes TT685 or Perhaps something like an AD600 with the built in receivers) this route would also future-proof me assuming Sony keep the MI shoe... looks expensive.

Godox is the most economical and flexible advanced wireless system out there. I'd be looking at Godox for sure if I wanted new flash gear.

I am selling a Pixel King trigger with 2 receivers, not sure if it is suitable or fit your budget ?
