As the title suggests I got a chance to shoot the air and space show in Orlando. I also got a chance to try the sony A1 for the first time all weakened. Truly a wonderful piece of kit unlike anything I have ever used. To be honest I got so many keepers it was hard to pick a select few. Hope you enjoy!

These are just too good. Great selection. I even love the heat exhaust plume blur coming off the F22's tailpipes giving the right side surfaces a shimmy. Some cool vapor/shock cones as well. Thanks for sharing. The #8 TB's head on is very cool. Looks like that a1 in your hands had a fun day out!

Great to see these, it looks like "the history of fighter airplanes". Hard to pick a favorite, but i think it must be the P51 in #16. TFS Chris

You were in a plane yourself

Really nice series. For a full history of fighter planes I miss several era's, but still a really nice series. A really really nice series with WW2 and recent stuff. Would've liked a picture of the Corsair by itself, just like the Mustang. I always like a C-47 in flight. The break out of the Thunderbirds is also nice. TFS!

Hi Chris,

What a great selection and I think what strikes me is the combination of the blurred props and the pin sharp detail in the same aircraft (see #'s 3,4,5,6,14,15 and the last two of the p51) - it's always said that the props need to have that feeling of rotation but you need a relatively slow shutter speed to get that; add some panning and, typically, the detail gets a little lost. Not here. They are a fine display of your (and in your hands, the A1's) performance.

The jet images are also rather striking - I can see on more favourable days you would get some cracking 'cone' images but even here they are fine shots.

If I had to choose a favourite I'd be hard pressed to be honest; yes, #16 as I am a sucker for the P51 and this has just a lovely attitude in the image, but I am also equally taken by #'s 5, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 14!

A great series overall and really shows off the beauty and power of these aircraft.

Thanks for sharing and best regards, Neil.

I really enjoyed this set, sharp or blurry where it needs to be! Love those afterburners with the haze in #12, great stuff.

These are great. Probably should go to one of these shows one day and I think the ones in my area are really popular and now I see why. Wonderful job.
