As mentioned in the other (themed) thread - I had an idea of taking only the IR-converted camera with me when visiting London for the second time. Shooting with it (A3000) was a bit challenging but quite pleasant and it seems that the camera is able to deliver good results. Yeah, I know - not all like IR photos, but that's like with French cheese - you have to grow up to the taste to like and appreciate it

In general IR is better then HDR or selective colour
![]() I like the first one very much. The second one would be better a little later when the three runners were closer to you. And the third one, well, it is classic, but I think it is the lease interesting of the three. Thank you for sharing! |

Mirek,
I'm not such a fan of IR, but I find these images interesting and appealing. Particularly #2 with the joggers running through the frame. Other than the white foliage, they are really like classic sepia prints. Thanks for sharing. |

I like the "other worldly" feel to these images Mirek. #1 could be from a sci-fi movie! TFS

Generally IR doesn't work for me. These I must say work very well. I like them a lot and #1 most, probably because the raised area so nicely fits.

An interesting series and well composed. I do wonder what they would look like with the trees the trees non-IR but the basic overall sepia? colouring. I just feel that the bright whiteness pulls my eye too much from what I think are the main subjects - suitcase man, the runners, and the bicycle.

Thank you all very much.
@happyjack - unfortunately we will never know how it would look like in normal camera :D |

A good series - I have only dabbled with IR on a non-adapted camera, these show why I need to adapt one!
The first is also my favourite - I like lonely figures. No 2 the figures are too in a line, the last is the only one I could hope to capture (not that the figures would show in a 30s exposure), I just wish the bike details stood out more (eg the saddle). And you've got to like a man who'd travel to one of the great cities and only take an IR camera! |
