First attempts with ND400, Les Vosges/France, les Cascades de Tendon.

#4

All pictures made with my Sony NEX-6 i.c.w. 18-105mm, 15 sec., f/8 - f/11, ISO 100, ND400 and minimal editing (added some vignet, a little saturation and clarity ajustments).
Quit a lot of ALPHA and NEX gear, a nice collection of Sigma lenses, Dynax and M42 stuff, Gitzo's, Visico's and lots of video-equipment

I like the dreamy atmosphere in #4 Dick, wind and water movement together worked well here.
In #3 the water seems slightly overexposed.
You can see the April Foolishness 2023 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

Thanks Pieter, wind was indeed a factor. But it turned out quite well on #4. One out of five was good enough for showing here, the other were shaken, (not stirred).

Many years ago, a group of pro photographers was formed to shoot the breeze and go out to shoot non pro images. One of our 'regular' events was to shoot landscapes by the light of the moon.
This was pretty much hit and miss back in film days as we were really unsure of reciprocity failure details with exposures into hours.

This image was shot at Nape Nape beach in New Zealand's Te Wai Ponamu (South Island). It was shot on Fuji Velvia 50 film with an exposure of around 4 hours using my Nikon FM2n camera and Nikon 16mm fisheye lens.

Given the long exposures, if you wanted more than 1 shot, you carried multiple cameras on tripods and set them up in different places. We'd all set our gear up firstly in late daylight and then, once it was dark, we'd go back out and all open our shutters roughly at the same time.
We'd then retire back to the caravan or rented house we had arranged and drink beer, whiskey and perhaps smoke a joint or two as we waited for the exposures to be made. Once the longest one has finished, we'd collect our cameras and sleep until noon.
You can see some lights where I'd used my torch to see what I was doing. I could edit them out but thought it'd be good, in this context, to leave them in there.
