I want to go emount, but if these prices continue to drop, I might try to pick up a 85mm 1.4 and a ff landscape lens and a99.

I just found this ad on my local Craig's List today:
Brand New Sony A7R III Camera Digital and lens! - $800 Mirrorless Digital Camera With Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM w/ Godox!!! (Never Used)! Camera really new 0 clicks and works perfectly.! Really... 0 clicks yet you know that it works perfectly? And for only $800? I had to double check that it wasn't posted on April 1st, but it was today's date. |

How gullible do they think people are? Oh, wait a minute... there was just an article about a woman who sent $20,000 for good faith money to someone who texted her that she won a Publishers Clearing House drawing, so they are out there. Common sense isn't so common!

A year or so ago myself and the counter clerk at Krogers tried to talk a lady out of sending $2000 with Western Union to a lawyer so he could get her grandson out of jail. The clerk refused to take it and was still trying to explain why when I left but the lady still wasn't believing her.

Just picked up a VG-C77AM c/w with 1 battery & a genuine Sony handstrap for £50 delivered from CeX.
![]() Already had a cheap knock-off grip but that has been a bit flaky at times - will now be demoted to the back-up body & this will see me right if I ever upgrade to an A99II ... ![]() |

Even here in little ol' NZ (small market where asking prices tend to stay ridiculously high) we're starting to see this. 2 weeks ago bought a Sony 500 f/8 reflex for NZ$350 (US$233), and this afternoon I'm going to pick up a (used) Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di USD, model A011S for NZ$585 (US$390). |

Minolta AF 70-210mm F4 Macro (Beercan) £28.67 (unboxed). Sigma AF 10-20mm F/3.5 EX DC HSM £155.00 (boxed/ bought new by vendor in April 2018). Good prices, Pirate. I paid a little more a few years ago for my copies of the first three.

As mentioned I had ran into an offer I couldn't resist.
Found online a used A7Rii from a physical camera store with 28-70mm kitlens and Meike grip (+remote). Shuttercount just over 5k, condition 9 (out of 10 as they mentioned, but I would give it even a score of 9.5) and 2 years warranty for 999 euro. The only dissapointment after receipt and first use was the poor state of an after market battery that came with the camera. I sent a message about that and today received TWO original sony batteries in the mail without any discussion! Excellent service from this seller, but did I still pay too much ? ![]() |

I've been struggling with vertical image taking recently on my a99, even with the horizon tool switched on. I realised that my A700 with a vertical grip vastly improved this so went looking for a VG-C99AM vertical grip. New they are slightly eye-watering - found one on the CEX site a couple of days ago and pulled the trigger.
Arrived today - okay, no box, but in first rate condition; no scuffs, marks etc., still has the plastic cover plate and all this for £45.00. Oh; and to my surprise, it also came with two Sony branded NP-FM500H batteries! Reckon that's not a bad deal somehow. Best regards, Neil. |
