First: Svetlana - you always contribute something special - lovely images all.

Wayne - thanks very much for your comments. The process involves selecting a small part of a photo then reducing it to ~36 dpi and 1" square. After this I enlarge it using Fractals Pro to full screen @ 360 dpi or so. Then the fun begins using PS CS4/the History brush and (possibly also) inverting the image as well. There's no real formula to it from then on and that's what I enjoy most about it - it's a total creation built on the layering that Fractals Pro provides.

@Lithops: cool effect here. Maybe would have been more interesting if the tree trunk weren't behind the bird, but you can't have everything;
