This thread is for Dyxum members to report the serial numbers of any lost or stolen kit for others to look out for.
If you lose any equipment, please post the details in this thread and we will endevour to keep this first post updated with a summary.
Please avoid any comment or expressions of sympathy in this thread - the idea is to make it as easy as possible for members to identify if equipment they are offered may have been stolen at some time.

This is to prevent buyers from acquiring stolen gear. It may show up on ebay, or audaciously even on Dyxum, or on other auction or private-sale sites.

This gear was stolen in Rome, Italy, on May 15, 2010:

A700, S/N 0502963. VG to EX condition. RRS L-plate, Giottos LCD protector and Sony shoulder strap were attached. 8GB CF was inserted.

Sony G 1.4/35, S/N 0205983. Mint condition, with hood. Lens was mounted on a700.

(edited to delete rear cap)

Stolen 02 Feb 2010 Rucksack stolen containing amongst other stuff:

KM 5D - Ser. No. 00508546
MF Adapter
Schneider Kreuzenach Xenar 50mm f2.8.

It was in an old pale blue Jessops holster bag.

This occurred in the area of Victoria station in SW London.

Funny you started this, my experience started me thinking of starting a website that dealers could subscribe to that listed users submitted stolen gear info (together with crime number to stop spoofs).

NOTE ADDED: If you find that you have the camera/lens, don't be shy as I was covered by my insurance claim, it would be just nice to know that that my old cam was in good hands again. Of course if you want to sell it back to me then that's fine too.

Cheers

Sandy

I never thought I'll be adding to this list but here we go...

Stolen on 6th of July 2013
Olbia, Sardinia, Italy

Sony A77 (SLT-A77V) Serial: S01-0690968-O
Sony 16-105mm (SAL-16105) Serial: S01-1838781-M

Both were taken, along with a whole bunch of other things (clothes, computer, Fuji Finepix XP20, food...), by breaking into a car at a car park close to city center and ferry terminal. Took me quite a while to find the serial numbers...

Thanks in advance for letting me know if you spot them anywhere...

Marko
