Anyone here using the Loupedeck plus? It doesn't appear in the search.
I decided to treat myself for Christmas as I have totally given up on Affinity Photo and returned to Lightroom Classic and Photoshop 2021 and the Loupedeck is so customisable it is insane. I don't like making adjustments with a mouse and the plethora of knobs, buttons and rollers is amazing, allowing the finest adjustments in virtually all major photo and video programs. Just interested in other's custom settings. |

I had one for two weeks. While I like it I found using it slower on the whole than keyboard and mouse. For any and all standard editing its really great but I ended having to use my keyboard and mouse (especially mouse) more than I thought I'd need to. Also in my workflow I use a bunch of other software too even though LR is the main. I am used to using them all with keyboard with shortcuts and I am really dexterous with it. My muscle memory is just to used to keyboard and mouse. Ended up selling it.

I have one for over a year and I'm very pleased with it.
When I started I changed a few things, but not much. So it's more or less 'native'. There are all types of custom modes. I memorized the functions I often use (everything around sharpening for instance) but I have to admit I do not use the other custom modes often. Particularly when I start with a new batch of photos the Loupedeck+ is a real improvement. You know the position of the buttons automatically. Turning knobs instead of moving sliders is so much easier and more precise. I love it. As Anand, I use a lot of other software in my workflow. The loupedeck+ doesn't interfere much since I start with basic Lightroom adjustments. |

Thank you both. That’s encouraging to hear. I’m very much on the exploring phase at the moment, but I do like it as an enhancement to the overall processing.

Bit of an update on this. My work station has changed this past year and I no longer use a mouse for anything! Instead I use a Wacom tablet, both as an alternative to the mouse and also as a graphic tablet in LR and PS.
The update is that KB Covers now make an overlay for Lightroom Classic and Photoshop 2022 (check out the link). I can never remember all the shortcuts so these give title to every default setting. When you think that virtually every knob and button can be assigned four different settings they overcome the chaos by showing everything in different colours; standard (white), standard with function key (blue), custom mode (orange) and custom mode with function key (red). Providing you are not colour blind it simplifies everything. As I am working through the excellent (IMHO) Adobe Classroom in a book workshops for both programs, they will really come into their own. Hope this is of interest to someone. |

Thanks for the info. That will certainly help. I use only the primary functions due to not remembering them all. So, do I understand it that you purchased Loupedeck+? And? Do you like it? |

Thank you for responding Domien. Yes, as I mentioned in my original post, I bought it for a Christmas present to myself in Dec 2020 so I’ve had it for a while now, and I love it. IMHO it is so much easier to apply fine adjustments than using a slider with a mouse and the default settings work fine for me, now that I am familiar with them.
The reason the membrane overlay interested me was the instant view of all the options, using combinations of function and custom keys. Mike McCarthy has a YouTube video explaining it well, if you can live with his style of presentation ![]() I cannot recommend it highly enough (in no way connected with the product) and my Mac keyboard also wears an overlay for Lightroom Classic which fit perfectly, also made by KB Covers. Hope this helps. |

Thanks, Brian
I didn't use many of the loupedeck+ functions due to forgetting where they were on the keyboard. I expect that the overlays hlelp there (just ordered two: LR and PS) |

Ha! Excellent. I'm pleased my post has helped someone. The only drawback I can see is that it is perfect for the default settings but if I customise any for my own preference, I'll have to somehow "amend" the overlay
![]() Let us know what you think of them when they arrive and you have made some use of them. |
