Outstanding!
I keep wondering what you could do at 10,000 ft elevation w Zero light pollution

Remarkable astro-photography, Mike. Quite amazing what you've captured, presumably from an urban setting with problematic light pollution to deal with.
Thanks for sharing.

Mike, these really are exceptional photos, the technical aspect is well beyond me, but they make great photos!

Well... in spite of shooting through misty clouds I still got some good detail on last night's moon. The "V" and "X" are still visible anyway.

So I got my A73 last summer and my first UW lens Rokinon 14 2.8 and here are a few from my first outing. Pretty heavy light pollution whereI am - typically a bortle 8-9. ALso Am just learning LR and photoshop. All these are single shot / 1 exposure attempts

stars 5
14/2.8 15s ISO 6400
Stars 1st attempt 3
14/2.8 30s ISO 640
stars 1
14/2.8 20s ISO 2000
Now coming up on a year later I know so much more and with photopills and some lightroom tutorials and learning about stacking etc I hope to do much better.
REally love what I have seen in this thread .

Lovely work JK! REally looking forward to seeing your latest! This is an area of night sky I simply have not even tried yet.

Here is my latest from last night.

A77ii + 400/4.5 @ 1680mm.

Two panel mosaic since I could not quite fit the moon in the frame at 1680mm. Each side a stack of 100 frames in single shot with a wired release. (all I could snap off as it moved across the frame)

Best regards

Mike

Scaled to 2048px if you click. (about 1/2 original size)

I am a little unhappy with the above pic... the bottom did not come out very well. But the top is great... so here is a closer look at it.

Opens to 1600px.
