Lunar and Astro Photography (7)

I was looking out of a plane window for the first one    For
The second one, I had a bit of a drive around on my way home from work but it seems so many of the roads round here are unsuitable (eg motorways! Or tall hedges and houses each side.). That was the most interesting view I could find!

When it gets a bit higher, I’m hoping to get something out of a bedroom window, if it climbs high enough. That diagram is very useful!

Comet NEOWISE | A7 III and Tamron SP 70-300mm at 70mm/F7.1/ISO1000/10s/manually aligned stack of four images in PS/colour corrected for city lighting

It was fortuitous that the comet is aligned in a gap in the trees at the bottom of our garden. I attempted auto alignment in Photoshop and in Registax with no success, so took 4 photos to align them manually.

(The ISS was passing over at 23:15 last night in a different part of the sky, but I'm not sure they would both make a useful image together.)

Is that because of Flickr or something else? I can see it OK here ...

A first attempt from last night (through the bedroom window :-().
It was quite a struggle..
I couldn't spot it with the naked eye, only with binoculars. Probably too much light polution. Afterwards I found out my duaghter had gone to teh beach. She couldn't spot it on the boulevard, but a few steps on the beach made it visible.

With the camery I couldn't find it through te viewer, so it was kind of aiming and shooting in the blind. Well, at least I caught it. Didn't consider stacking of multiple shots, but may give that a try if there is a next occasion.
Next time I should include some foreground too....

A99ii Sigma 70-200/2.8 at 200mm/2.8. 30x 2s exposures stacked. I quite like the detail on the tail but the lack of colour in the stars is disappointing (but expected with 2s exposures)

My telescope is 100% unsuitable for this as
1) 1000mm is far too long a FL
2) I had to hang a tripod out of a loft window for this - barely possible with a SLR/Lens combo, let alone a 8KG scope on a 35KG tracking mount
