A beautiful day in Northern Virginia. A tad windy for flower macros. Still, it was, weatherwise, a prelude to early fall. A good day to be walking around Meadowlark Gardens.

Winston,
Another excellent set, beautifully taken and presented.
A real macro masterclass, and delight to the eyes.
Impossible to pick favourites, although #4 and #8 stand out, as do the motion blurred bees' wings in #10.

Fully agree with Joe: well done. I am also a fan of the moving wings in #10, it makes this a special shot that stands out from usual macros. TFS Winston

Thanks for the comments. It's been a great week weatherwise so it was an ideal time to spend my lunch break at Meadowlark Gardens (only seven minutes away from my office). I was hoping to find hummingbirds, but the challenge of getting bees in flight was an interesting one. It was a little breezy as well. Probably should have just sat on a chair and taken a nap - but with the weather so inviting and the bees flying about, it was time for some fun.

Better to spend your lunchtime like this than at the table
Well done Winston!
