Yesterday I went for a workshop "Nachtfotografie" at the Maasvlakte, a large industrial area which was developed the last 20 years.
We started at sunset near "Het Balkon van Europa".

Plane is not hit

Sunset

We then continued to shoot long exposures at the Zandwacht, but my Imaging Edge App doesn't allow other functions on my phone, so I couldn't clock the time properly. Only to dark to light shots are available

We then moved on to Futureland, between then AMP-terminal and the power plant of the region.

Steam

Activity

Our last stop was near the EMO, a real dirty location where coal etc are dispatched. But, industrial looks!

Stairway to dust

I was home at about 01.00AM..
Hope you like them.

#1 is well timed, good one. Of the others Transport (2) is my favourite. TFS.

Great images Harm. The Maasvlakte was actually opened in 1973, so 50 years ago. It is the extension of this area, Maasvlakte 2, that is around 20 years old.
At EMO (Europa Massa Overslag) they mostly move iron ore, which is why all cars are inside garages and every truck that leaves the plant has to go through a car wash!
Anyway, love the images, TFS

Another vote for "Transport (2)" - a very crisp B/W!

The whole series is great photography!

TFS!

@MichelvanA: I was at Maasvlakte 2, the newer one. Indeed, the first Maasvlakte is much older. Thanks for the information, MIchele.

@Addy: thanks.

@Dopol: I tried, but when other people started talking to me, I lost count. Thanks, Domien.

@Waldo_posth: Thank you, Harold.

I also like your set, Harm. BW conversion works beautifully pointing Transport 2 as its winner. I also like Sunset very much. TFS
