Yesterday it was raining. The land here is very salty (I think the right name for this is playa, but not sure), so whenever it rains the salt is dissolved in water, but the water evaporates quickly and leaves the salt all over.

A mocro lens is good for rainy days. I like it Shay, and the titles too! Great to see this and the story behind it. Something we don't see here, so thanks for sharing!

Doing my annual pre-archive sort though of previous years images and found some macro stacks I hadn't managed to process to my liking. Here's a few from a sitting of salt and/or pepper, mostly 70-100 image stacks put together in Helicon focus. All A7iii with sigma 180 3.5 and LAE3 adaptor, potentially with extension tubes too
