Following on from Day 1, here some from Day 2, which was filled with a visit to Valetta, the capital of Malta.
It's a UNESCO world heritage site.
A lovely place, full of character.

#1 The Triton fountain near the gate of the city

#2 The new Parlement building at the entrance of Valetta

#3 Siesta

#4 View on the Manoel fort and the more modern village Sliema

#5 Waiting for customers

#6 Typical street

#7 Did I mention the many oriels in Malta?
Somebody told me they were build in the past to provide the women a good view on theoputside world since they were not allowed to leave the house..

#8 This was such a lovely area near the old harbour

#9 Old harbour storages

#10 Boat parking

#11 More knockers

#12 Enjoying the view

#13 Here is the first church interior (dome)

#14 Another church interior

#15 City Crown

#16 Tasting is believing

#17 Almost diner time

#18 Part of the fortified city wall near the city gate

#19 The Triton fountain near the city gate

#20 The way we look

I think this is (more than?) enough for Day 2. If it's too much, please let me know! Thanks for looking and your patience.
C&C welcome again.

Looks like a really nice vacation! Fine weather! Very fine images!!

Many scenes look very familiar to me. My favorites are #5, #6, #13, #14 and #15. The set is very diverse and I like this very much!

Thank you for sharing, Fred - and looking forward to see more!

Love this second instalment Fred. So unique and different, particularly #6 with the strange elevated footpath.
Hope to see more.

Thanks Harald. It was a very nice vacation indeed, although kind of 'hard work' with ca. 32C degrees, > 10k steps with a fully loaded camera backpack every day ;-)

Thanks Joe. #6 was a famous place, used in several movies as well.
I will come back with more shots of this place
