We are putting forward this poll to get a better insight into where Dyxum's membership is based and where its main interests lie. Member profiles do contain a field for location, but this is not mandatory and is not formatted in a manner that allows us to make meaningful analysis.
The division of Asia into West and East may look a little arbitrary, but time zones make a key difference for a global forum (and Asia spans a lot of them). I would suggest that those in Asia on Dhaka time or west of that (ie up to 6 hours in advance of GMT) put themselves down as Asia (West) for our purposes, with the rest being Asia (East). As well as asking what continent you are resident in, we also want to know which one of the two main sides of the forum is of most interest to you. We realise that many people will use both and may find it difficult to put down a preference for one over the other - the difference doesn't have to be great, but we would like to know: If you really can't make up your mind, vote for one, and post a comment stating which region you are in what the other option was. We would like to assure all Dyxum members that we are committed to continuing with both the photo and equipment forums - this exercise is simply designed to give us more information about the membership. I know I'm being a pain
![]() ![]() Edit: I decided to vote for Photo in the end, but I have to agree with a later poster who said that this forum would not be half as good without the technical side as well. Edited by Mark L - 30 January 2011 at 10:24 |

I'm more inclined to discuss on the equipment side, but guess the photo side has more anticipation - so, I voted photo, but it's a slight difference.
Europe - voted photo, but could've been equipment. |

Africa, voted equipment as I use that side of the forum more, but I really enjoy viewing others photo threads as well. Hope to start sharing again myself soon.

No, I think we are limited to relatively simple questions on this forum software - but it suffices for the most part. |

Just noticed a missing continent - or do we still lack any Antarctic dyxumians?
