On Easter Saturday we visited the Memorial Of Esterwegen dedicated to the victims of the Nazi regime as a prisoner in any of the 15 prisoners camps in the Emsland and in the county of Bentheim during the years 1933 – 1945.

This Memorial looks rather empty outside, even if i love the Main Street. The shot inside, the Gallery, looks impressive. Maybe you could consider cloning out the blue line at the left. TFS Robbie .

The memorial is rather empty outside because only the traces of the former camp can be seen, while those parts of the camp topography that are no longer visible and which stand for violence and threatening behaviour, have been translated into a modern formal idiom (as with the steel elements). “Packages of trees” help to imagine the sites of the former prison huts. Covered with lava gravel, the former prison area suggests a reddish brown moor landscape. The "packages of trees" may be more visible and better to imagine when they are in full leaf.

I cloned out the blue line as you suggested – I think it´s better now. Thanks for looking and commenting Michel!

Poignant series Robbie, very well done. The solemn atmosphere of such a memorial came though very well.
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here
