After our meeting last year where we met the deer, but not the foxes in the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, we decided to give it another try this morning.

It was a beautiful morning, with an early start at 6.30AM at the parking of the area.

Let's start with the "group" shot, that we missed last time and now was the last shot of the meeting.

FS.1

With Domien at the right, enjoying coffee and applepie (it was a bit too early for the traditional stabilizers )

Although I have been told you can stumble over the foxes there, somehow we did not spot a single one again . Maybe they went to church on Sunday morning?

Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable nature walk.

FS.2 Signs of the early morning

FS.3 And obviously deer

FS.4 Nice landscapes

FS.5 And more deer (with valvet covered antlet)

FS.6 Mainly mail specimen BTW

#1 and 4 with A7R2 + Samyang AF 2.8/35mm, the rest with A99ii + 70-400G

To be continued and I hope Domien will add some of his probably nice work here too.

Thanks for the flying start Fred.
I'm not that quick. I'll start tomorrow.
It was a great morning, a good walk, in a great park.
But as you said, no foxes.

The area is used for filtering water, which can then be added to our tap-water supply. IT's an open dune landscape, since no building, or camping is allowed it's a rich area, with lots of special animals, insects, plants.

#1 The water is crystal clear. This grey heron profits

#2 all around are canals where the water flows through

#3

And lots and lots (mainly mail) deer.
What do you do all day, being a deer.....

#4 Some bush-sniffing

#5 some butt-sniffing too

#6 Getting used to the new balance, the antlers require

#7 Lots of dragonflies all around

#8

But no foxes. We will be back

Wonderful photos guys from a great location - I miss it greatly. I never made it over there in summer though so it's nice to see some different creatures and the deer at a different stage. Pick of the bunch would be Domien's 7 for the perfectly in focus dragonfly and Fred's 8 for that great eye contact with the doe. Tfs

Aaah - warm summer, enjoying nature and photography in good company, and unmasked.
A real tonic for those of us in the depths of winter, and once again in lockdown (Number 5.0) while getting Covid Delta variant under control.
More please.

Not much to add any more.
It was landscape, male deer, and dragonflies.
Thanks for looking and the remarks.

#9 Early morning grass

#10 And more (beautiful soothing) landscape

To be continued with another tour to (really) find the foxes
