AFAIK he's still selling them .
Did you P.M him from here or email via his P-base site ?

How long ago did you email him ?
If it's only a few days he's probably been busy and hasn't had chance to reply .

Check in the database HERE. Lots of the old Minolta's have their repair manuals available there.

It's possible he's using a different email address .
I've an idea Pete goes by the name SQLguy on dpreview .

https://www.dpreview.com/members/4228628092/forums/recent

If so he's been on the quite regularly .
P.M him on there as it'll show on his notifications at the top of the screen .
I might be mistaken , so check he's the same person when you contact him .

Pete's from/is in Minnesota, don't think SQLguy is the same guy as he lists Colorado as his location.
I have his Lens Repair mini-disc but not the Xi one, maybe someone else does and can just share the pages for the 35-200, I'm sure Pete wouldn't mind.

I must be mixing him up with someone else then .

As it happens I did buy both discs from him a good few years back , I can't remember where the discs are , but I've remembered which hard drive there back up on with all my Minolta camera manuals .

@ the O.P .
P.M me you email address and I'll send you a copy of the repair manual .

Of the xi zoom lenses the 35-200mm is the only one that's really worth having .
Decent image quality , good range , just a shame it didn't start at 28mm .
It's certainly worth repairing .

Didn't realize it had been so long since Pete was heard from so decided to do a quick search for him. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2019. Not sure what else to say, but those of you who have his CDs and manuals make sure you take very good care of them. He is missed.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

neilt3, that would be awsome!
but the question i am having, is what should we do for those who find this thread and also are on a dead end in the search for a special repair manual? (sorry if this comes across as an annoying question)
sad to hear that he passed away. i haven't had contact with him personely but he did so much for the community.

Very sorry to hear Pete Ganzel has died - I too had tried to get a copy of his manual CD in order to make an attempt to fix a 35-200xi with a sticky iris.

A good number of repair manuals can be found online, but not all that Pete put on the CDs.
