Interesting. So there has to be a market for sentimentality and nostalgia

Economically it seems more like madness to pay for a repair if you can get two or three used and good working copies for similar money (and sell the broken one to someone who does the repair themselves.)

Film camera prices are creeping up - in some time it will be more economically to repair. Also, if it is your dads camera you might want that one repaired whatever the cost.

Most repairers only deal with manual cameras.
