Apparently I can turn on the https security in Firefox. There’s a post about why it is implemented here, https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2020/11/17/firefox-83-introduces-https-only-mode/. |

Here are the results from my quick comparison between -- left to right:
#1 -- Spiratone Minitel f8 (third version) #2 -- cropped to size Soligor 200mm C/D f2.8 @ f8 #3 -- cropped to size Tokina APO 80-200mm f2.8 @ f8 All pictures taken on a tripod in the same spot at f8 with mirror lock-up and a cable release. Sony a850 with all settings at factory default -- no adjustment in contrast, sharpening, D-R, etc. Manual focusing with a Minolta 2x viewfinder magnifier. ISO at 100. Shutter speed set by camera. I really can't tell any significant difference although the edges of the 500mm shot are actually the edges, while the edges of the cropped 200mm shots are obviously not. The "streaks" on the test card are just that. I may go pixel peeping at some point, but it's not on the top of my list. My 500mm is still bigger and heavier that the 500mm CAT, but I think I'll run a test of my 500mm CAT vs Sigma 500mm APO f7.2. Edited by XKAES - 04 December 2021 at 20:14 |

The 1sr, 4th ans 6th are very nice. Particularly the 1st one
The ‘typical’ Teleshot is completely free of donuts. Nice. |

Not a lot of light in The Low Lands as it is "dark days before Christmas" time and then there a late afternoons where there is hardly any and then you need a f2.8 CAT or a tripod.
From Blijdorp Zoo on the day I captured the heart of a fine lady. 1: Prairy dogs Camera Model: ILCE-7M3 Lens: Minolta RF Rokkor 250mm 1:5.6 Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 0.003 sec (1/400) ISO: 2000 2: Prairy dog Camera Model: ILCE-7M3 Lens: Minolta RF Rokkor 250mm 1:5.6 Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 0.003 sec (1/400) ISO: 1250 From a late afternoon hike on Planken Wambuis near the Dutch Veluwe National Park. Should have brought a tripod, IBIS can only do so much 3: Can't see the forest for the trees Camera Model: ILCE-7M3 Lens: Minolta RF Rokkor 250mm 1:5.6 Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 0.017 sec (1/60) ISO: 3200 Edited by Snegren - 06 December 2021 at 20:58 |

That Rokkor mirror gives very nice results Paul. Sahrp where it should.
