I was remembering how photos disappeared in my open views Arches thread. Replaced by the dreaded blue question mark insignia. I thought I'd check and see.

I was horrified!

37 of about 50 photos were disappeared, replaced by the "The Dreaded Blue Question mark! This was much worse than I could imagine. What was even more puzzling, Arches National Park was only a segment of a whole Moab trip. I went to see if the other portions photos were also disappeared. They were NOT! Like the "Bluff Fort" and others were intact. I used the same cameras and lenses only through out the trip 🤷‍♂️

Also the flickr Arches album was undisturbed. Only photos of the Arches National Park thread were disappeared.
What can, I do what should I do? I already complained at the time of the original posting

The photoshoot was so exciting and so much more then expected, I thought I owed it to the membership for them to see what I saw

I am going to find the photos off the flickr Arches album and post the found photos here. It's going to take a while to find and match each photo. I'll post a bunch at a time, but it's probably going total a while to match 37 disappeared photos

This photo to me is the seminal photo of what Arches was that day

Daybreak, the start of an amazing place

More to come, a labor of love revisiting these National Parks

It's a nice place to be as I conclude from your photos.
I'll keep it for next time and that may not be to soon.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken

I'm with you guys on that. When I revisit these photos, so much more comes back then just a photo.
Yes thats one of the perks of living in the West, Southwest. If you feel like it jump in your car and go. (weather depending) Thats usually the way I've done it. However it doesn't work if you have to be in a certain place to see the "Big Boy" resurrected on Its inaugural run.
What I really, really enjoy up here is the Night Sky. A Dark Sky area with zero light pollution, at 7000ft elevation after your eyes get acclimated the wonders of heaven open up.

There is something very different about Arches. Traveling all over the "New Land" out here, I've never felt the presence of ancient spirits. In Arches they are everywhere!
Delicate Arch, was it ever a portal, Balanced Rock, what is it really, the Three Guardians is obvious. Thats the name I gave them when I first saw them looking out over the whole Park. These things are all over the place and most are obvious and plain to see. The far end of the park Is Devils Garden, imagine what's in there.
The truth is out there;

more coming
