I guess I'll kick this new challenge off with a very direct reference.... I'll try for more effort as we get further into it

Okay, here it goes.
This is about Led Zeppelin and the song is In the Light.

Enjoying an icecream in the city center yesterday I noticed some lamps on a building on the other side of the street. They still have these old fashioned but very nice looking light bulbs with those decorative filaments. Much better looking than the modern day led bulbs.

    Dogs

Inspired by the Pink Floyd album cover for "Animals" and the fact that one of the tracks is called "Dogs".

My second pic, from the music of Blur.

This song is "Coffee and TV", written by the band's guitarist about his struggles with alcoholism.   The video is quite cute and appears to have nothing to do with the song's underlying theme. (Although, searching for a lost person may be some sort of link) youtube Coffee and TV

Pic 3 from the music of blur. I've been noticing a lot of litter trapped in fences and hedges around the place at the moment. We even get a lot of sofas dumped in a particular side road near a farmer's field.

I drove past that spot on the way home but it's been clear for the past few weeks. But I did (easily) find a similar sort of thing.

The pic is inspired by the title of one of Blur's albums: "Modern Life is Rubbish". I think my interpretation of that statement isn't quite what the band intended    However, I'm sure that part of modern life is to do with big brands and disposable consumerism.

    Interstellar Overdrive - Pink Floyd

    A77 II + Sony 55-300 @ 55-200 (approx), 3.2secs, ISO100, f8

A quick grabshot on the way home from work, I was going to use a tripod to get a straighter zoom burst but figured if I were in a space ship about to enter Interstellar Overdrive it could well be a bit bumpy.

    Music is here
