Hi Francis,

Tulips are amongst my favourite flowers (for photography certainly in the top few %) and this makes this set very interesting.

I'm interested in the format and arrangement you've chosen for these images and as something a little different I think they work rather well. The inclusion of that single, bright, leaf is a brave choice as it could so easily have stolen the scene as far as the viewers eye is concerned, but in all these cases I think you've managed the balance really well and whilst it's noticeable it doesn't detract from the main purpose which os the flower itself.

All the images show the delicacy of the bloom really well - the fineness of the petals and the almost silk-like texture they all have is shown off very well. If I had to choose a single image from the series it would have to be #2 - the combination of the velvety flower in such a wonderful deep red contrasting against a rather special base made up of the out of focus leaves works extremely well for me.

Thanks for sharing these and best regards, Neil.

Francis, such a beautiful set. Neil has said it all in detail, and I can only endorse his comments, including a special mention of #2.

I'm facinated with the petals in #5 and two tone petals in #3. As others have mentioned already #2 has something very special about it. TFS
C & C always welcome
