Very timely email from Negative Lab Pro this morning warning not to update Lightroom Classic v13.0 just yet. This is an extract of the email:

There is a bug with the SDK in LrC v13.0 that prevents Negative Lab Pro (and other development-based plugins) from making changes to tone curves. Until this bug is addressed by Adobe, all versions of Negative Lab Pro will NOT work in LrC v13.0.

I have just used NLP in the last couple of weeks converting my scanned film negatives for the 2023-2024 Film Challenge and my LRC is still on v12 and everything worked as it should. Today, after reading the email advising not to update LRC to v13, Adobe Creative Cloud popped up with notification of the available update. (This is one of the reasons I don't have it set to auto-update).

I realise that this info will only be of interest to a few, basically those who still enjoy analog photography, but if it stops anyone from updating before a fix it could hold back their workflow considerably.

Thanks Brian, fortunately I still use Lightroom 6.14 and haven't moved to the subscription model (yet). So this bug doesn't influence me but might be very useful for those in the same position as you are.

I blindly installed the new version.....
I use several different 'other editors' (like On1 Topaz Nik)
I tried the editing 'flaw' with on1. I didn't see any problems.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken
