Update on the update. 10 days on and I have yet to take a film photo
![]() It has been so bitterly cold that venturing out has been for essential trips only and with a dicky heart I don't want to risk it unnecessarily. However, please don't wait for me. Once you have finished a roll and selected the third for posting head over to the main thread (see Bob J's link in previous post) and let's see them ![]() I'll join you very soon. |

I've exposed 11/12 on my first film, using the Kodak Duaflex (original UK version) found when clearing out my parents house, dating from around 1950.
It's not much more sophisticated than a pinhole camera, with a 75 mm Kodet lens, fixed aperture of f15 and fixed focus from 1.5 metres to infinity. It's a primitive device but it probably took the most treasured photos in my possession. It's a sunny summer day holiday snap camera so I'm being very optimistic in the greyness of midwinter. Film is the defunct 620 format which is the same size as 120 film, you can either re-spool it yourself or you can buy it already re-spooled, ideal for clumsy people such as me. ![]() ![]() And here's a scan of a photo I think was probably taken with this camera, I'm on the left. I think Martin Parr may have been inspired by my dad ![]() ![]() |

I'm about 6 shots into a 36 exposure roll of Kodak 400TX, so two keepers so far!

Still waiting to begin. Spent some time in hospital having IV antibiotics dripping into my arms and still in recovery mode.

Hope you get better quick wetapunga!
For mf focus accuracy I've had better success with this rangefinder than any of the three manual focus SLRs I've prior experience with. The MFD is not so great but the focus aid seems so much easier to read. |

I'M IN!
I just got back a roll yesterday and would like to post, it seems like I can only upload using a web link....as I don't see a way to direct upload from my computer. The other thread said something about "subscribe" but I can't find a "Subscribe" button. |

That reference to subscribing is just a pointer to announcing your intention to participate in this thread. |

Thanks, I just posted 3. I started out this year thinking I might shoot maybe 25% film. After I shot 2 rolls recently I'm thinking it just might be more than that. It brings back a LOT of good old memories. ![]() |

I'm tempted to join in as soon as the weather gets better. Yes, it's absolutely rotten here in Denmark, too. Cameras will be Minolta XG-1 and my newly acquired Yashica Mat 124G. I'll probably go with Fomapan 100 and expired Ilford HP5. I'd love to try some color films (Portra and Ektar) in the Yashica, too but it's a pain to get them developed around here.

There's no such thing as too many lenses.
