To be brutally frank, I think that's optimistic... At least, if you consider the entirety of the shipping process.

It's gotta go by truck or rail from the factory to the port; that whole process itself has plenty of substantial slowdowns, before it ever gets to the slow boat.

Then the port needs to load it, and the ship needs to transport it, and the receiving port needs to unload it. The ports are the most common -- but far from the only *cough*Ever Given*cough* -- source of slowdown.

Even once it's ashore in your nation, bureaucratic delays can be outrageous.

The slow boat passes England long before it reaches the states .
Your in for the longer wait if your waiting for one !

Sorry, mate! Shipping to the States is just a straight shot across the Pacific (likely by way of Japan; but still...).

In another hobby, I've (repeatedly) seen China-to-customer times be substantially fasterto the USA than to the UK...

But no, I'm not waiting on this one, as I have no Vectis gear (I think I only ever even saw any once or twice).

Depend on who's in charge of logistics , it could still be on a long , slow boat ride from China to the US via the U.K .

But no , the time on the boat for goods I've bought from China is typically a couple of weeks maximum .
Time from a seller dispatching it and it working it's way from one place to another before being loaded on a boat , and likewise it making out of our customs is a different thing .
Quite often it is our lot that take the longest to process things , and the time from the seller to our country being the least time spent on it's journey .

Just had a email update .

It says ;

" We're preparing for shipping
Hello everyone!

Based on description of Indiegogo, funds of this campiagn should be transfered to us on 14th Oct(tomorrow) we will start shipping once we recived the funds. And in the meantime, we're preparing papers for shipping now. We will post another update once all packages were on the way, and you should have the FedEx tracking number in your personal page on Indiegogo.

Special note for China mainland and Hong kong users:
To get faster delivery, we will use SF-Express Air service instead of FedEx to you. The item ships from Shenzhen, should arrive in the next day usually.

Thank you all for your support!

John Zhou "

So I thought they were going to order parts up after the funding ended , then make them etc .
Reading that , they must have ordered what they needed when it became clear how many needed making ( within the first two weeks ) and have already made them .
So it shouldn't take too long for them to start arriving .

That's what I was hoping, November is going to be Vectis month. Let's make a LA-VE2 thread in Themed Views as soon as the new toys arrive.

A few emails ( mostly in Chinese writing!) From FedEx seem to have me down for a delivery on the 19th October.
Much sooner than I expected.
So should be here in time for my last holiday if the year .

I wasn't expecting it to appear much before Christmas.

Absolutely agree .
One communication states they haven't been given the money by indigo yet , but rather than hold back on shipping out , there getting on with it anyway .
That's despite the fact they haven't even been paid yet !
Fair play to them .

My adapter has already arrived today. It looks quite good, and can be attached to A9, A7RIII and NEX-7 without any problems. On the A7RIII it sits quite tight, on the NEX-7 with the least resistance. But the A7RIII is my newest camera, maybe the bayonet is not yet "worn out" there. I have two lenses, the 22-80 and 80-240.

First quick AF test in the room showed that on the A9 and the A7RIII the AF works so far, not rocket fast, but also without delay or back and forth focusing. On the NEX-7 the AF doesn't work at all, the camera is just focusing back and forth without detecting a focus point. Also, the AF-C, AF-S, etc selection is grayed out in the camera. The adapter does not seem to work with the camera in this regard. But this was already pointed out in advance by the developers. Maybe future updates will bring an improvement here.

Both lenses (22-80 and 80-240) vignette strongly in the corners at all focal lengths on full frame.

I will test more over the next days.

I'm in work for another 7 hours .
I WANT TO GO HOME !
Just had an email saying mine has arrived !

Shame about the NEX 7 not working in AF mode . That's contrast detect AF only and no on sensor PDAF that's the reason .
I'll probably use mine on the a7Riv mostly in crop mode , but I'll wait for used a6600 prices coming down so it can work with this , the LA-EA5 and the new M mount adapter .

6 hours 37 minutes to go ..........

Got it yesterday. Testing it now on a7r4. 17mm good, 50 macro Ok. It needs good light. Last night I tried the 25-150, didn't work at all. I had the 400 on a7m3. No AF, only MF; VERY SHARP 🙂. I'll clean the contacts on the lenses that don't work (properly): these lenses have been in cupboards for 20 years. So far mixed feelings.
