I am going to work on my panning skills this coming weekend on a trip the vintage auto races at Road America. It is something that I have realized was not a skillset that I have developed, so I am looking forward to it (as well as revisiting the track and seeing cars that were park of my childhood fascination with racing). The A6600 and 200/f4 will be my main tools for this.
To see is to enjoy. To see beyond is to rejoice.

I've just bought a Bronica SQ-Ai medium format camera and lenses . I've already got Mamiya TLRs and full set of lenses , a Kiev 88 and full set of lenses and Bronica ETRs and ETRSi's and lenses from fisheye to 500mm .

So seeing as I don't need it ( just GAS !) I decided I would only get one body and three lenses .
Over the last two month's I've picked up the gear needed , unfortunately, partly down to picking up some great bundle deals from sellers that are either too thick or lazy to list things correctly, or just due to the fact I've been browsing eBay with too much whiskey in me .....

I now have a Bronica SQ , SQ-A and SQ-Ai , a 40mm lens 50mm , 80mm ,150mm , 200mm and a 110mm macro lens that goes to 1:1 rather than 1:4 .
Several metered prisms , other bits and pieces plus the TTL flash guns and macro ring flash that's compatible with both Bronica systems .

Today's my first day off work to try it out , so I'm off to the Daresbury Steam fair in Cheshire to try some out , I forgot to pick some HP-5 up for at the Wall of death , but I've got two backs loaded with Ilford FP-4 and a Fomapan 200 .

The project I've got in mind is touring Scotland in my camper van with them , though the two week holiday I'd planned might have to be postponed due to other commitments.

But at least it will give me time to check all the gear , sell one of the bodies on and spare metered prism etc .

Now I just have to resist buying that fisheye lens for it I've seen that would be good for taking shots of the Milky way amongst the Scottish mountains!

Developing my own colour film ( C41 ) is also a project for me soon .

I've just got a fresh kit of chemicals and need to develop the film I did in my Minolta XD7 I took for the SR mount film challenge in March (I can add them to the outtakes thread then !) , the roll of film from my Minolta Dynax 9 with the SSM upgrade , and a roll of film I shot in the Yorkshire dales on my May holiday with the Bronica ETRSi .
There's several other rolls of colour film I need to develop as well .

Should be easy enough , I've developed lots of black and white film , I just need to sort a water bath out to keep the temperature correct .
I'm sure I'll get better negatives back than I do from my usual place , they should be clean too with no crap stuck to them , my B&W ones always are that I do myself .

That's a really good idea.

As an aside this reminded me I got some panoramic gear just before Covid19 hit. I still haven't had a chance to use it properly yet. Perhaps this could be a suitable project.

I've been getting into astrophotography with my A7RIV.

This is NGC 7000 (it's mirror-flipped so it is upside down and backwards - eventually I will fix it). This is basically a stack of 75 individual 61MP frames.

That looks excellent Matt, may I ask what software you're using to combine images?

I would also be interested in the gear used (trackers maybe?).

I myself have two ongoing projects that I have started a long time ago. Both family centered.
One is I photograph my family every Christmas and this will go into an album and another one is I do a photo every year or two of the family of my sister. This one started as a photo of her and her husband at a restaurant and then I developed this photo and took a photo of it. Then it too was developed and I handed it to them and I took a photo of them holding that photo. From that moment on, I keep on photographing them holding their latest photo from the series in hands or having it in some way in the frame.
Both projects have been going on for more than 15 years (I think it is still less then 20) and I was wondering when would be actually a good time to put those together into that album :)

As for the gear, I have started to replace my main gear (a900 based) and have recently bought:
a7RV, 200-600G, 35/1.4GM and 24-70/2.8GM that turned out to be dud and is now (hopefully) being replaced. I'm still waiting for it...

Once it is with me and it is actually a lens that is good enough to use (pleeeeaseee be like that) and intend to do some photographing of local swamps.

Two friends and I are delinquent on a project we were given, we went to India in year 2003 and have a variety of pictures from the three of us, one friend's wife suggested we get together and do modern processing/printing and make an album.

It was due last year, so actually not a "new" project LOL.

Software used were: Deep Sky Stacker (free) to stack, Siril (free) and Starnet++ (free), then into Photoshop (not free) for final touches (could also use GIMP).

For tracking the stars during those long exposures, I used a Skywatcher Star Adventurer Pro (the one that does not work with an app, no wifi). I polar-aligned the mount, lined up my shot in liveview, and set the in-camera intervalometer to take 20 frames, repeated that a few times until I felt the need to retire to the cabin.

I was shooting with A7RIV and 135/1.8 GM (which make for a very good wide-field astrophotography combo, IMO).
