hi Bob ... yeah, enjoying some time at home!
Hope you are well and adapting to some form of new normal.

Having a new habit of a long daily walk to my local green space (the beach which is almost visible from my front door) I decided to get a decent pocket camera: Sony RX100 IV.

It does have a pretty blue zeiss logo on it

Never had a zeiss before but do have Leica written on one of my Panasonic lenses.

While I don't think we haven't chatted before, your reputation precedes you

Zeiss badge is prettier than Lieca
Time to buy a proper Sony body with a pretty GM badge lens?

I still get occasional PMs from people asking me about a lens review I did!

And I'm super amazed how prime day thing has developed.

I am oddly considering seeing if I can just use the RX100 as my only camera ... going to challenge myself to a 3 month RX100 only daily photo walk shoot fest thing. Not sure where to post my thoughts about this and personal photo projects in general (a new thread 'open talk' or 'other photo topics')

It was rather tempting ... and I loved my Nikon D700 (my only full-frame digital camera experience). Ultimately I know I just don't need that big a file.

I was hunting for a one-camera, one-lens solution. I even got a Fujifilm X100F in Decemeber which is very nice to look at and play with but I didn't enjoy using it.

My Panasonic GX9 (and my soon to arrive RX100) have the viewfinder in the corner and I really really like that. I do have a big nose!

And so have the NEX6/7 and A6xxx series. And with those you can play with "day prime" and "month prime" challenges

RX100, close but no cigar, it's a competent camera but not for prime challenges
