Good to 'see' you here again.
When I first joined, I saw you were one of the AMAE team and featured quite regularly so being from Melbourne, thought we may cross paths at some DM or other, but that never happened. Those have been few and far between but I did organise a couple, when Pyl was in town on a visit, and when Bob J made it all the way to Melbourne on one of his mission of mercy cell transplant courier trips.

Perhaps in future?

Your legacy lives on, if no other way than in the on-going "Next Photo Will Have..." thread, now in its 20th iteration.

Anyway, hope to see you and some of your images posted here again. Presumably the a100 after which you've tagged yourself is long retired?

Joe

No way we would forget you Rosie, not after AnneM, you and I had such a good meeting in Ieper. AnneM "retired" from photography and posting and is now a full time trucker, but I'm still active here.

Oh, welcome back! I think I've been here old enough to qualify as an "oldie" and I do remember you posting many photos.

Hi Rosie! Great to hear from you and good you are still around and that you've 'found us' again! How are things and how's the photography? Still got the A100?

Hope we can see some of your most recent work sometime; don't leave it another xx years until we see you again!

Take care and lovely hearing from you, Neil.

Awww thank you everyone!

I do still own my a100… it’s hiding way in the back of my cupboard now    My primary camera now is the a7riii and the 16-35 2.8 is my most favourite lens! I also have the a77 ii which is in hospital as we speak as the front selector dial is broken and I’ll be shattered if it can’t be fixed! It’s my “dedicated” macro camera so will be totally lost without it.

Anyway, I hope to continue on here… and not disappear 🫥

I remember when I first joined, and it was a bit nerve-wracking, but everyone's super friendly here. Just tell us a bit about yourself and your interests. Oh, and don't miss the nickname and day job threads – they're a fun way to connect with the community.

Hi all,

Have used Dyxum as a knowledge resource for years and despite being an anonymous lurker I've always found you guys in the forums super helpful, so first of all thank you!

Been on hiatus from photography for a good few years for all sorts of reasons but am finding my interest rekindled as I have a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Chile and the Atacama coming up, so I figure if ever there was a time to join the forums then it's now.

Brief history of my photographic life... started with a Minolta X300, was on that for many years before switching to both autofocus and digital in one fell swoop with a Dynax 7D; been rocking a Sony a77ii for a few years but it has had criminally little use so far. No intentions of ever moving to E mount unless something critical breaks.

Hi!
