Because you're linking to a web page, that doesn't show the image here. You need to link to the actual picture web address (ending with .jpg). Instagram doesn't give that address so I haven't found a way to show pictures from instagram here. You need to use a picture hosting site like Flickr, Smugmug, zenfolio......... and then link from there.

Detailed instructions how to do that can be found in this link

Btw 1: Welcome to Dyxum

Btw 2: I moved these posts to the right place, the DPC index is not a place to start posting images Here is some reading about "what goes where" on the forum
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Hi Guys. I am new here and this will be my first shot I post. I shot of this gorilla at the Como Zoo just a few days ago. I wish I had a 70-200 f2.8 when I was shooting through this fence with my f4. Wish I could afford one. I just converted from 9 years of Pentax and the after 9 years of shooting, the Sony a7iii is my first full frame.

@LeDave: Welcome to Dyxum, Dave! The fence provided unusual bokeh. I'm not sure I would have liked being at the receiving end of that stare.

Cheers... Brian

Is this thread still active?

My dumb dachshund (meant in the most affectionate way) shot with A580 and SAL50/1.8

It's not the most thrilling shot but I like this lens, 75mm ff equivalent is tough to frame but image quality is so nice.

Welcome Cucoo! I have the same lens. Surprisingly good isn't it?

I look forward to seeing some more of your shots.

Cheers

Welcome to Dyxum, and thanks for your opening post.
Lovely images of your dog deeply inhaling the scent of apple!
Of course the 50mm lens on an APSC sensor becomes the cropped equivalent of 75mm, ideal for portraiture.
Looking forward to seeing lots for from you.
