OK, lets give this a shot... self teaching HDR.
Taken with my a35 using the bracketing feature, hand held... which resulted in the HDR image not being so sharp at 1:1 due to camera movements. I know better than to not use a tripod, but was being lazy. lol |

Here is my first try at posting and image. I haven't downsized or cropped the original jpeg, so I hope the auto downsizer works:

Welcome Kyanite and steve14!
Both of you did a great job in uploading, as well as in photographing... @Kyanite - for sure tripod will help, but even like this it is a very good job. I like the fact that the HDR is not overdone and overall the photo looks very natural. @steve14 - very nice castle! Looking forward to see more photos from both of you! @slawrencephoto - I don't feel that I need to welcome you anymore - you are already a Senior Member... It is amazing that your first photo was posted only 2 weeks ago... Nice photo! |

Thank you rovhazman! I like the HDR to look natural, but I have certainly played with the overdone stuff too. It can be fun, but it has it's place.

Ok. Well here goes nothing. To be honest I find the forum layout here to be very intimidating and confusing. Hopefully I'll figure it out.
Switched from Olympus to Sony in October 2012. So far I'm very happy with my decision. Shot today: Shot last week: |
