Protest by Howard Stanbury, on Flickr
This photo taken with a Vectis S-1, so I hope is not disqualified. This is from 1996, the EXIF data says: 'A baying mob wants the fascist scum off our streets (slight irony there). New Inn Hall Street, Oxford', I wrote.

Next, more irony!

I spotted this tonight:
This grill kiosk has that blinking light sign "Open - Welcome" switched on and the paper on the sales windows has the opening times: Fri-Sat 20-05, Sun-Thu Closed and since today is Wednesday...

Assuming this ironic enough, the next photo should show some harmony.

Nara Period Bronze Bowl by Howard Stanbury, on Flickr

Tokyo National Museum

Dating from the C8, these bowls were one of the six items that a Buddhist priest was expected to have on his person, and this style was unique to Nara.

So next up, a desolate place
