Am I too early now?

Not quite HEAT, but it used to contain lots of heat: molten iron.
Does it count?

If this counts, please, show us something in the production/melting/pouring of steel or iron.

if mine is accepted is not for me to judge, but if you tell me what we are looking at, I'll buy it.

This is a Bessemer kettle, in which the molten Iron is processed to become steel.
I think I mistook this one: I found on Wikipedia the newer name, it is a Gilchrist-Thomas-converter.

I photographed it in Hattingen at a former steel factory.

BTW, correct me if I'm wrong with the name or the description .

I guess a smith at, say, a re-enactment should be fine as well? Anyway, anybody?

I think this little tree fits the bill:

Sony A900 | Minolta 50/1.4 | f/2 | 1/2500s | 160iso

Taken at Bryce canyon, so, next another canyon or gorge.

Why is it that I just want to see the final image that came from the large format plate camera...?
