A few weeks ago, I was on the other side of the country, near the Dutch/German border. Because I'm also a train-enthusiast, I decided to take a look at Bahnhof Emmerich, in Germany. It is a borderrailwaystation, so trains change there from Dutch system/driver to German driver/system. It was a famous station in the past, when we didn't had locomotives and staff that could run either in the Netherlands as in Germany. I was there at the afternoon and made the following pictures (all made by hand, no tripod used). Today, those multi system locomotives means that most trains run with their pantograph on the roof trough the station with around 100 or 120 kmph. An example is shown at pic 1.

Moon and Trees. In addition to liking the photo, I was shocked at the lack of color banding after it's been reduced and mangled by flickr.
The office at night: Both A77 ISO 640 f/6.7. Top 2 seconds, bottom 20 seconds. |
