In a nature reserve I visited during the summer holiday and tried spending the night in. Not a lot of sleep, strange bird call, rather persistent, and other things, so got up in the middle of the night and tried to take a picture of the moon and possibly Polaris. Flickr does horrible things with gradients to night shots it seems. Anyways, it feels eerie and pretty great to be alone by a lake at 3AM in a rather remote nature reserve with the moon saying 'ello.

Voigtländer 35/2,5 at f/4 or something for the stars, ISO 800, tripod.

Beautiful picture Jack, perfect exposure and with that red in a part of the sky it is nice balanced.

Just wondering if I mind the boats on the left. But I think the picture would not work without them. So, the picture is as perfect as it can be. TFS.
