Hello,
When checking the Adobe Lens Compatability list, there's only pre a-mount Minolta lenses listed. I'm pretty sure that there were a number of Konica Minolta lenses on that list. It would be quite odd to only support manual Minolta lenses while the a-mount lenses have some many more users. Does anybody know anything about this? While missing support for some Minolta AF lenses, I'm quite sure that there were support for at least some of them. Was the support of Konica Minolta / a-mount lenses dropped for some reason? https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html Edited by Hybrid3 - 28 February 2022 at 14:07 |

Still plenty of A-mount lens profiles available, check out the ones listed directly under Sony; on the Adobe lens compatibility list the A-mount is named as Sony Alpha.
Then again Tamron, Sigma, et-cetera have A-mount lens profiles. AFAIR under 'Minolta' there always have been some SR-mount (MC/MD) lenses only and not really any Minolta/KM A-mount ones. Most profiles were created by Adobe based on the equivalent Sony version. In the early days one could retrieve Minolta/KM lens profiles via the lens profile downloader, which then showed up under 'Minolta' if the "<LensPrettyName>" was defined as "Minolta ..." in the corresponding file. But then those are located somewhere else on the hard-disk and not in the same folder like the supplied profiles from LR or DNG converter. |

Right, some a-mount lenses are still there.
But what happened to all Minolta AF-lenses? I think it's a bit odd that the old manual Minolta lenses are there but no Minolta AF at all.. |

Minolta was already gone (taken over by Sony) when Adobe started to supply lens profiles in LR and DNG converter, thus they obviously looked into, back then current, Sony lenses only instead of the older discontinued Minolta equivalent; some are rebadged Minolta versions anyhow.
But occasionally some older lenses got added from one update to the other, too. Among were some of the few listed Minolta SR-mount lens profiles, but this is in no way the complete SR-mount lens line up and there also seemed no logic behind why those got added and others not e.g. few Min-AF lenses. Before those official lens profile releases users had the possibility to create and share lens profiles using tools supplied by Adobe labs, but both Lens Profile Creator and Downloader were discontinued at some point. You might want to check this thread - some lens profile links shared might still work ![]() |
