Sensational. What a remarkable set, and what remarkable optical design advancement that enables such IQ using a zoom with 2x TC! Unimaginable only a little time back.
Kudos to Sony and to Peter the expert bird photographer.
If I had to pick a favourite it would be #13.

Lovely series Peter.
I’m a Kingfisjher-fan and these shots really hit the spot.
Beautiful colors and great action.
Particularly like #14

The Australian Kookaburra is renowned for beating it's prey to death whether it be a snake, lizard, or a sausage purloined from a family BBQ. The kingfisher belongs to the same family albeit a much smaller version and exhibits the same behavior beating the living bejeesus out of these crabs

7 Does it tickle on the way down?

8 I'm guessing so as I was just about to walk away when it regurgitated the lot. Never seen this happen before...
