Thanks all for the welcome! This is my first challenge too, but I have some ideas. I'm a prime shooter so the single focal length won't be a big change, jus not switching lenses to my 85mm or 50mm. I look forward to everyone's entries.

I just looked at your profile to see that you only joined Dyxum about 5 hours ago! What a great way to start an amazing journey!

Welcome, imprez25!!! Glad to see you joining in.

I'll join the challenge.
Not certain, but I'll probably use my Sony 30mm f/2.8 macro.
3 per week.

Welcome to Dyxum, Imprez25! The a700 with 35/1.8 is a great combination.

I'm sure we'll see an Oktoberfest Training thread soon for you to practicing posting photos and thumbnails (which can be a bit tricky at first...)

I'll be joining!

This year it will be my x700 and MC50/1.7 unless I can get my hands on a reasonably priced MD50/1.4. Last year I used the MD35/1.8 and I just have to say I prefer the 50mm focal length. I've got a 28/3.5 that's a great lens, too, real sharp and all, but still, I just like 50! My 85 and 135 aren't under consideration because my challenge is, like every year, street photography...

I haven't decided yet but I may do color film as an additional challenge. Either that or Ilford 400 pushed to 800, which is a good compromise for the worsening light of autumn, and that I used all last October. Color would be a real challenge because for one I like to take metro pictures and I have no idea how to deal with white balance on film! So, we'll see!

Oh go on, sign me up. Probably Dynax 9 with 50mm f/1.7 (my only A-mount prime) - as I have been letting film slide recently, as it were. I'll try to take pictures every day and will post as and when I process and scan, every week or so. Is that OK?

I'm in with my 85mm CZ and a99. I already know I'll have to break ranks and use more than one lens on Halloween, though.

Actually you get extra points from me for going with film! (Hmm, maybe I should also do it?)

I think I will shoot film as well with my Maxxum 7 (and digital too with A900), let's start with 3 per week hopefully over time maybe I can get more.

As for the lens I decided to do it traditionally and go with Sony 50 1.4. Of course this is subject to change, I would love to go with 500 Reflex although I have to give it few more thoughts if it's not going to be too hard.

So for me it's three challenges in one: Oktoberfest, Week 50 and Film Challenge!
