For me film is far from dead, I shoot about 3 rolls per month regularly (thanks to Film Challenge, that's when I picked up the pace). There are few rolls I want to try like Kodak Ektar, Portra and Fuji Superia 200 (shooting which I got great results already). Although I also want to try my recently bought A900 with shorter lenses (I've been shooting birds mostly) so I hope you guys let me mix (digital and film) it up a little

I'm in.

I will probably shoot with a Minolta STsi and a Maxxum 50/1.8.

Most likely with B/W film, but I may slip a color roll in there somewhere.

Hooray! Another film camera! Welcome Wallendo! (And I guess you meant Maxxum 50/1.7, right?). You are our lucky 21st!
List updated.

Marcin, as long as you use the same lens (and as long as you have fun), it is fine...

I took part last year and got a lot out of it, not least it started me shooting RAW permanently! Unfortunately I'm on holiday half way through so unless I can take a sabbatical I'll have to pass until next year.

I have looked deep into my pockets and after a lot of soul searching I decided to buy a 135CZ. I wanted one the 1st time I saw what it can deliver on FF camera. Hope I am or can become worthy of it, will start rehearsing this afternoon when I take 'obsession' of it and have the whole of Oktoberfest to play with it.

So my Oktoberfest Challenge becomes:

A99 with 135CZ, no cropping unless squaring up, Pic-a-day. The general idea is limited DOF photography and macro with extension tubes in case of foul weather.

Welcome everyone! We are already 25!!!

Saint_Dazza, we can work something out... We can give you special permit for half month. Or you can take your selected lens with you and take one picture a day with it for the challenge and then use any other lens you want to use in your holidays. What do you say?

Brain, should I change the list then?

But from what I know that is going to happen in October I have very little if not any time left to take pictures.
On the other hand.. I could join with you guys already knowing that it is going to be tough from my side to keep up.

MMmmmm.. what do you say and what shall I do?
