This thread is for posting your photos for Day 15 of the 2019 Oktoberfest challenge.


Rules:


- no talk please, there is a Oktoberfest Talk thread for this purpose,
- each member participating in the 2019 Oktoberfest challenge is allowed to post exactly one photo here
- shots must not be posted here earlier than October 15, but can be posted later
- a title, exif info, purpose and story of the shot, and (a short indication of) your challenge are all good extra info to provide and help others to comment
- if participants would like to show more photos: we have the Oktoberfest Outtakes thread for this purpose
- please remember to start and update your mini-gallery in the Oktoberfest Thumbnail thread
- the general guidelines of the challenge can be found in the Guidelines

Today I went to the "Flamingo ponds" (these are actually salt ponds) for some birding on my way between work to home (since it is not a real working day in Israel due to holiday, I could leave early). While I did sin and used the 70-400mm lens, I also carried my challenge lens and took the picture below. Unfortunately, it was overcast day (but still hot - 42 centigrade). At least some water and not only desert...
If you look carefully, you can see the white spots mainly at the other end of the pond - these are the flamingos... (I have better photos of the flamingos from the other side).
