Day 13:
@Fred_S - that lens again! Beautiful shallow DOF and Bokeh, although I'm feeling a bit "mushroomed out"

Thanks Joe, as mentioned I am mushroomed out myself as well. I have a forrest full of them next doors, but need to change the subject now.

7* Fred_S : Perfectly focussed on the rim and fades away prettily.

9. Fred_S : I'm enjoying your flower series, not a genre that normally interests me.

Thanks Alan, honoured to be your favourite again for Day 7. But what's next after flowers and mushrooms???

I defy anyone to spot a pattern in my contributions! Very wet this morning, today's could be a challenge.

10. Jozioau - Nice contrast of the old artillery against the tower blocks.
10. mikey2000 - A well spotted photo opportunity.
10. clk230 - Beautiful traditional library, a calm place for study.
10* Bob J - Dramtic abstract, just about possible to identify as a railway line.

11. Snegren - Rampant toadstools bursting out, echoed by the white circles.
11. pegelli - The Low Countries look perfect for fungi, more pristine specimens.
11. rovhazman - A desolate landscape, I've cycled a few roads like that, the "washboard" surface isn't ideal.
11* gregja - I love how the angular shapes transition into circles.

12. clk230 - Lots of interest here.
12* pegelli - A fascinating piece of history with nature providing moss and humans supplying graffiti.
12. Fred_S - Dramatic focus fade.
12. alpha_in_exile - Simple but effective composition.

rovhazman - the contrast between the dessert followed by the aquarium and the landscapes with water is a nice find (and all in series of two).

Thank you, Ivo. This contrast is what Eilat is...

Day 16:
@rovhazman - I guess this is the main attraction of Eilat - ready access to the Red Sea with its corals and underwater life. My old boss from when I worked as an architect in London almost 50 years ago was a keen amateur scuba diving marine archeologist who dived here and found lots of interesting treasures from antiquity.

Thank you Joe. Many people around me here are scuba divers, and of course all my coworkers and students are (after all, my research here is marine biology...). I do want to start diving here (there is so much to see!), but didn't get to it yet. I have many excuses, but I guess the main reason for not doing it yet is a mental block - I get stressed when I am underwater and even when snorkeling I get stressed and don't get to far from the coast.

8. rovhazman : The bright sun implies a hot day, emphasised by the chairs.

Thank you Alan. Hot day is a relative term... It was considered a nice day, but it was around 32 centigrade (which I guess it is hot in most normal places...). There is something with the combination of the dry desert with the sea that makes it feel nice even when the temperature is above 30.
