OK, don't forget the 2021 Oktoberfest challenge starts this coming friday.

Any "training shots" from before that day are welcome to be posted in the outtakes

OK, I've kicked off the 2021 Oktoberfest just now, and will be using my a99ii and CZ135mm f1.8 Sonnar on days 1 to 15 or 16, followed by my Samyang 24mm f3.5 Tilt/Shift for the second half of the month.
We are still pretty constrained with lockdown restrictions, but can travel up to 15km for daily exercise so I'll try to venture out within those limits and take my camera on my daily walks.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the world from lock down.

Me too! We're still limited to 5km in Sydney till hopefully about the 11th. Guess we need to wait till some northern hemisphere posts start rolling in!

First shot posted.... Actually I hate it right away.
The stress of making 3 good shots during a week, besides working and home life...

Some unexpected sun today - I hope it bodes well for the rest of the month! I have joined in the dog theme.

Love Greg's opening shot - it's always intriguing I can't work out how it was done - is it a reflection?

Thanks Phil. It's 3 towers with a jagged profile, but the two on either side of the shot are in elevation and obviously closer than the middle one.

I very much like your photo today, great choice of focal point!

We do hope to find some time to relax and take some images. I lost today too much time - by recovering my ordered Walimex (Samyang) 24mm Tilt & Shift [i don't know what the postman has eaten those last few weeks - but it must be bad...].

So, i found a brand new one for a reasonable price (500€) - so let's learn how to use this lens?

And the 85mm is underused - why not use that Walimex too? That also was a bargain at only 200€'s (more than ten years ago).

It may take a few days to rise to the good temperature though. So give me some time to find good nice subjets. I'm a bit like a old diesel.

It seems there is a theme on day one, with what Pieter describes as his "local and faithful model."

Anyway, I had not yet decided on my lenses but I was forced into my 85mm as I forgot 1 October was on Friday - I took a picture with the 85mm, so, the 85mm is one of the lenses. The other one will be my Sigma 35/1.4. It will be the EF version with the MC-11 as my A-mount version is on my Dynax 5 for the film challenge.

Some comments on what we observe thru the thumbnails:

Gregja: days 1 and 3 are pictures that i like a lot.

Pegelli: Only 3 a week - we're not used to that low rate. But quality matters, and we see both nice images on days 1+2.

Harm vb: The RIP Starling is heartbreaking, on day 1 - the pano., you say it yourself it's a sad small detail that the upper part of the mill isn't there but it's still a strong panorama! And the sky after the rain - why not. I've been a tiny bit too early out - because i didn't think it'd get that good (and i had to prepare dinner).

Phil Wood: Day 1 - why not? It's unusual, but is it wrong? Day3 - the white cloud around the crane is a good find! And day 4 will Please your prime minister. - those are the colors of flanders (a dangerous thing to show in Belgium).

Snegren: days 1-3 - 3 good finds - but i like day 1 most of all 3.

LAbernethy: day 1 has a warm tone up to it - day 2 is cooling us down with a lot of colours though - and on day 3 the pressure was mounting... (and of course that's the one i like the most - but i've seen steam, and i'm lost...).

Dopol: Only 2 b&w - both bridges - i'm curious to see what 'll come next! Both top as expected! I'm more in favour of the older bridge - but that's due to my age (almost being put on strong water - is there alcohol/ethanol in it?).

I do hope to be able to show you guys the 3th shot (like in the thriller the 3th man) - they've forgotten to invite me - but i found a way to break through the administrative burdens...

Addy, your Day 4 shot gives room for many captions.

If you had only moved 40 steps to the left, we could have enjoyed the full building view.

But I stop. After all, it's your birthday. Cheers

What about "fig leaf"

If you want the building naked, well, here it is behind the fig leaf:
