I think the Sony A77m3 is being produce in the same facility as the Olympus E-7; there appears to be something tragic about the number 7. I haven't handled the A6400 but have handled other A6XXX options. The only thing I like about the design is the side viewfinder. |

So this has an LCD backlit EVF?!
Maybe an LCD is a more responsive. It sounds like it quite a bit less WYSIWYG than OLED EVFs. Edited by QuietOC - 25 January 2019 at 19:21 |

Yes, that is curious. From what I've read it's the same backlit LCD viewfinder that's in the OM-D EM-1 Mark 2 which I understand was the same as the Mark 1. Now granted it's a nice backlit LCD viewfinder, nothing like Sony's last one in the A57 and probably nicer than the Sony first gen OLED for single frame shooting but it was crap for bursts in the Mark 1 and tweaked some for the mark 2. |

While its interesting and great if you happen to be an Oylmpus shooter that wants such a body, i cant see it being taken up by anyone switching systems.
Those that need an expensive, large pro level body tend to want top notch AF, thinner DOF and most importantly ISO performance. Some aps-c bodies can get away with this to an extent with faster glass but M43 doesnt have that option. Some cool tech on display though, and good for them to have a crack |
