Harald -

Such a wonderful and interesting narrative, particularly the tie-in with your father and your early equipment - fascinating and diversified, just like your images.

Hi Harald,

I'm not sure how I missed this OoU from you but I am glad I've found it now.

It's a lovely story and one full of insights, vision and wonderful images; strange how our fathers (and mothers?) draw us into photography - it was the same for me as a small child helping my father out in a darkroom converted from our bathroom at home at that time (the enlarger was a converted oil can as well...).

You've had the delights of moving round for work as well as vacations - many of the locations you've shared are no doubt high on many people's 'bucket lists' (many are on mine that's for sure) but, through these images, you have probably made them desirable than they were before.

The images all speak for themselves in their quality and the 'eye' you have for details in a scene; I am also very taken with the way you can spot patterns in an urban environment and make such a strong statement from them.

As someone has mentioned already, this may be too early for a 'definitive' OoU article - but I'm more than happy to take 'work in progress' as an interim along that journey.

Thanks for sharing some insights with us and best regards, Neil.

If I would have to describe my impression of your photography Harald in one word that would be - precision. Another one would be ability to extract details out of a much bigger picture. You can see, notice and take image the way you find it beautiful including forms, lines, shapes and colors. When you put these elements in fine balance and harmony with each other then aesthetics naturally follows.
Your images like #2 and #15 are my favorites.
I am very glad that you became One of Us and a part of AMAE team.
I have also enjoyed your personal story.

Regards,
Svjetlana
