In reviewing some old photo's in my library I came acros three that I had taken from the Eiffel tower in Paris when we spent a weekend there with the family in 2006. They were never intended to be used as a panorama but I noticed they were taken from about the same spot at the widest zoom setting so I tried to stitch them in a Panorama in Lightroom and this is the result:

KM5D + Tamron 28-200XR, click for larger

Note the shadow of the tower pointing to Sacre Coeur
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Amazing quality from 15y old 6Mpix. You really made me nostalgic for both Minolta and Paris...

Thanks Gunars, I was also pleasantly surprised how it came out, but I think the nice evening light helped to some extent as well.

I sometimes still use my KM5D, AF is a bit pedestrian but the sensor delivers good results if you don't raise the iso too high. And Paris ..... ahem, off limits for us living in Belgium at the moment, the government declared it a red zone so all non essential travel there is forbidden and if you go there on essential travel (work) you have to quarantine for 14 days after return, so I guess we'll have to wait for some time returning there.

Didn't have time to break out a "proper" camera as this beast came rolling in so had to resort to ever present IPhone.
