I bet that was a fascinating trip! From a photographic standpoint, 1 and 3 are my favorites. I love the pose you caught in three.

5 is interesting; at first I thought that was a toy gun until I saw the string of fish; was it a functional spear gun?

7 and 8 give me chills. Did the crew survive? Were they captured, or did they make it back to friendly lines? Was the rest of the bomber harvested for local use of the metal, or did it break off elsewhere during the crash? Haunting.

@HiDesert, it certainly was a fascinating trip. The people are wonderful, very friendly especially the kids. The speargun was functional and completely home made from whatever was at hand.

We were told that the plane was at an old Japanese airfield, so I don't think it crashed. Yes some of the metal has been salvaged, although not as much as expected. There was also part of a wing nearby and the tail section.

@Dr. Harout, since you asked nicely, I will try to post some more when I get home.
